Paula Behm MS Ed., founder of Careers by Design, is a Certified Career and Job Transition Coach with over 10 years of assisting individuals from a variety of industries become self-directed, self-confident and reaching their vision of professional success. 

Through an individualized and strictly confidential exploration and reflection process, she guides professionals in identifying their career accomplishments, transferable skills, and targeted career paths in order to assist in the preparation of employment portfolios containing high impact resumes, bios, references, and self-marketing plans. 

During the reflection process, her clients become increasingly more skilled in their ability to answer traditional, behavior-based and in-depth interview questions, which lead to lucrative job offers.  Paula has been recognized by her management and executive level clients for assisting them in changing careers, industries and/or employers with self-confidence and a high degree of professionalism.

Paula Behm’s areas of expertise are derived from her 20 plus years of academic, human resource, and telecommunication experience where she designed and delivered training programs, provided consulting and career coaching services, and oversaw a tele-communication engineering operation.

Ms. Behm’s academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management with a focus in Adult Training from SUNY Empire State College and a Master’s degree in Professional Education from Le Moyne College.  She has since earned certifications as a Job and Career Transition Coach, interpreter/trainer for the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and facilitator for the Harrison InnerView Profiling System. In 2006, Ms. Behm graduated from Leadership Greater Syracuse.

Ms. Behm is the founder and current Chair of the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s Training for Business Growth committee and is an active member of CNY American Society of Training and Development and the CNY Society of Human Resource Management. She is active in several women entrepreneur organizations.

As a selected speaker, trainer, and volunteer for numerous professional and community groups, non-profits, and public schools, Ms. Behm shares her passion in life: to assist others in becoming self-directed, self-confident and reaching their own vision of personal and professional success.
